okay...it's late and I'm delirious...i went back in to tweak this entry some more in regards to the colors. I don't know if i went too far and the other version is better...or if this one looks more finished. It's such a battle, me and photoshop. I'm trying to learn the program, and a wacom tablet...but for these I'm using the mouse I am so fond of because a wacom pen feels so weird....I'm sure I'll figure it out eventually....hopefully before the symptoms of carpa-tunnel set in...
so here's entry 2.5
judges: a larger version 300 dpi is available on request for the contest. thanks!
The foreground figure definitely pops more in this version, but the background figure is muted a bit in the process. They both look great, they just have different feels. I think the first one looks more organic, but this version might look better in print.
oh...very good points you make! I was trying to make the wolf stand out more, as i think in the first entry it's a bit busy...and so i thought if i muted the back...it might work in that manner...thanks for taking the time to comment!!
For sure Keep working with the Wacom, it takes some getting used to, but it'll become second nature eventually. Maybe try doing your thumbnail sketches with the wacom for a while and see if you take to it a little faster.
