shit. well...i rushed a bunch of 50 girl 50 sample pages, with no luck in the top 10 spot. le sigh....i've been working at the fun fun land of employee sales and retail. my job on top of my other job...comics have been rather slow with the whole economy thing. Unfortunately there are a lot of 'opportunities' and yet not many that take form and fruition. but you have to go with the flow, otherwise it'll kill yah. have a glass of wine or a beer every now and then and take a deep breath and just let it be. I am working on a really neat project with a writer by the name of Chris Stevens. We've been internet buds for a long while and he's got a project with some heavy hitter names in the comics biz that have already contributed. people I really admire. So hopefully when all is said and done, there will be an epic collaboration book the likes of which will make you kill for hardcover....

I am also working with a writer who happens to be one of my fav writer pals I've ever had the pleasure of readin', mr. Todd Michael Rogers. Amongst some killer short stories and epic tales, I also somehow got the fellow to write me a retelling of a famous russian fairy tale, which will be in said chris stevens book of awesome...

In personal news, which is bound to get out and about sometime soon....I happened to get myself engaged to an equally nerdy guy whose been around through the good times and the bad..so i am reveling in the girlyness that I suppose I have suppressed for the good part of my 'trying to be an independant bad-ass women' persona. LOL.

So I really feel like im at some sort of crossroad in my life right now. like the next chapter is finally turning naturally instead of me trying to put that puppy into high gear and burst through job fate, love fate, and life faster than I am supposed to. ambition some call it. but sometimes life needs to take you by the horns and you gotta just sit back and enjoy the wind in your hair....
